For jeffies who thinks rounding Cape Hatteras but staying to the west of the
Gulf Stream is a piece of cake, here is an aerial photo of the Cape. Notice that while there are no white caps on the water (meaning winds less than 12 knots), there are distincly showing breaking waves (many) off the tip of Cape Hatteras shown in the lower right hand corner http://www.ces.clemson.edu/semaps/jp...ank/9a6ful.jpg This is the only aerial I found of CH. If someone knows of others, do share the source with us. |
