![]() http://www.hobiecat.com/experiance/learn.html FLYING A HULL When sailing in strong winds the Hobie will normaly heel a little. If you don't hike out enough to provide sufficient counter weight the windward hull will lift out of the water. Once the windward hull is clear of the water, we call this 'flying a hull'. A beginer should try to sail the boat with less than 8* heel, any more than that and you will be flying your hull which may lead to a capsize. |
