Hey Katy;

Are you still with us or have you become a snow statue?

After watching TV Weather, I really do feel like a Wimp for whining
about a few days of weather in the teens

47 Degrees here now with rain. I've come to the conclusion that we,here
in the NW have lousy weather but a great climate

I know you've had a rough time so far with still another 6 week to go.
Hang it there

Ole Thom

Trouble is, to reconstitote them you have to have termps nearing =
freezing point...single digit and below 0 temps just leave them as so =
much dust in the wind.

So true fellow snow-person! New snowmen are like new people - delicate and
more susceptible to anomalous formation in certain critical stages of
gestation - but once past those points, a more brutal environment only makes
them stronger!

If we could just have that one little temperature reprieve! My yard has =

Aye Katy! It's 13F here right now with a windchill of minus-5F. And even
this is better than it has been.
My slip is looking none too inviting as well

Scout, is the Bay frozen clear across? I was out on the east end of Long
Island and the ferry to Shelter Island had to resort to ice breaking to cross
the gap between Greenport and SI. It actually rode up on the ice and broke it
down. Had to back out of a thick piece and work in from a different angle.
The wife was a little worried. I think it is impassable now.

I don't know Skitch. I haven't been down there (about 75 mi from here) since
the temps dropped. Looking at the 9:30 AM pic (1/31/04), it appears that the
narrow channel may be open. I see lots of ice too. I always wanted to try
the ice sailing bit (sleds), looks like fun.
