Try again. Yours has a plastic lens. Mine has a glass lens by Zeiss.

10 glass elements in 7 groups (includes two elements with three aspheric
surfaces)

Now that you look foolish, I deliver the final kick to your block-head. Fuji's
electronics and AF system lags. In addition, the Fugi takes longer to power up
and takes 1.5 seconds shot to shot, while the Z1 powers up faster and can
manage just under 1 second shot to shot. Both cameras have good optics with the
edge to the fuji. I actually like the S7000, but it's AF system proved
unreliable...much like Canon G1 and Olympus C50. No thanks.
The Z1 is so usable I'm selling the G2 on Ebay right now. The Z1's "fastest"
auto focus means it takes more usable shots than many other better cameras.
I'll be picking up the next gen of the canon rebel next.

Yea, that's why Sony is the only manufacture to give the customer a Carl
Zeiss lens on step up models. Oh, and by the way Sony just introduced an 8
mega pixel camera. When is Fuji's comming?
Digital cameras .......... just another thing the dimwit Boob knows
nothing

Slap a Zeiss lens on so-so camera and you get a so-so camera with a good lens.
Cameras from Olympus, Minolta and Canon are more capable. BUT, until I used the
Z1, few digitals had a better AF system than the higher end Sony units.
Side by side with my Canon G2, the Sony DSC-F828 did not measure up until we
took the units down to manual. Of course a good 7X lens will have a tough time
beating a good 3X lens and canon optics are excellent.
Loco is as dumb about cameras as he is about boats. He thinks the only
important part of a camera is the lens! Just like he thinks the only important
part of a boat is it's PHRF rating!

Bwahahahahaha!

I got a Fuji S6000. Paid less for it than you did yours.

Where is there info on this camera. Website only shows S3000, 5000 and 7000.
Looks like you're BUSTED!

And also note that no other camera can capture movie clips as well as the Z1.
Pretty cool since I don't like bringing my PD-150 or TRV900 aboard.

Strange, my digital Hasselblad has a Zeisss lens. I can name several more
digital camera that have Zeiss lens. Seems like Sony is not exclusive on
this.

I've got a disposable camera. Much cheaper, and if it falls
overboard, who cares?

At the cost of achromatic aberrations, which you don't know, are corrected
by a pre-stressed plastic lens.

Only in the wrong mode setting do you get AF problems (it doesn't focus).

Still won't be as good as any of my cameras.
