Default Send back the Sun!

OK you Down Under Sailors.

Time to start the Sun back to us. Enjoy your Solstice but it is time to
send the Sun Back North. Today is the Day.

Solstice is 0704 UT tomorrow, so for those of us east of Seattle the Solstice is
after midnight.

Today, (or is it tomorrow?) has the least daylight for those of us in the North,
it has the most for our inverted brethren down South.

However, it does not have the latest/earliest sunrise/sunset as one might
expect. Since the actual time of local noon varies up to 15 minutes through the
year, the earliest sunset up North is about Dec. 8, the latest sunrise is about
Jan 5. If this doesn't make sense, search on "equation of time" or check out:

Ole Thom,

I bet you hate the shortest day of the year, don't you?

When one only has so few days left to live because one
is so old, so very, very old, one would like one's days
to be as long as possible, wouldn't one?

they may be. Call me "middle-age perfect".

Simple,

If you'd untie that mooring line you'd stop sailing 'Around in circles
g"

And; Wake up and stop dreaming. That "Banana Boat" with those Hong Cong
bargain sails with working jib, couldn't sail circles around a kids toy
sailboat with a lolly pop stick and paper sail. In fact, if you ever do
any sailing by next year the corners on that main will be so stretched
out, you may have to borrow that Lolly Pop Sail. That shelf will no
longer be a flat shelf. It will be a tilted shelf.

Get a gripe on reality, and learn to face aging gracefully. AARP is
looking for you

Let's us; "DRINK TO THAT!"

Hot sun, clean clear warm water, good breezes and not too many people.
You people will get the sun back in time, but you still won't have the
climate.
