Built a skiff with a stepped hull and tubes to introduce air into the step.....It was banned! I've seen this tried on multihulls too. I've been told that it is difficult to design a step so that it doesn't cripple the boat below certain speed thresholds, or so that it's not very sensitive to longitudinal trim. Did you have to play around with it much? I like the idea, the step and the tubes both would help make the hull more rigid. The navigatorİ wrote: A classic design idea!
