No boat that I can find, with any reasonable production history is as low
priced and poorly regarded as the Coronado 27. A quick look around the web sees several for sale in the 3-9K range. The more expensive ones aren't selling of course. Now, let's compare to the C&C 27 MK V. Valued at around 20K it's actually improving in value over the past few years, along with most other C&Cs. The reason? Quality, known to the sailing public by a fine reputation that Coronado owners can only dream of. The C&C simply does everything better and faster, and it looks like a boat doing it. The Coronado looks like a bloated Dunkin Donuts inflatable toy given out with a large coffee. It's just plain ugly and ungainly. Neal claims that he's made a Swan of his Coronado, but all we see is bad decor and a bent boom that everyone agrees is a concern. He compounded his folly by ordering sailing from an internet seller, and they look it By the way, the reason to boom was ruined in the first place is because Neal didn't understand the first thing about the physics of a mainsheet and it's placement. Thank you! Capt RB |

One cannot judge the price of the good ones from looking at the poorly kept and maintained junk you see on the Internet. The fact is excellent examples of the Coronado 27 are so beloved by their owners that they aren't on the market. Boats that are easy to find and in good shape are examples of boats people can't seem to like and enjoy enough so they sell them. Your C&C is a good example of this fact. Like I said, there are plenty of used C&C 27s around because nobody likes them. They buy them and realize this is not the boat for them so they turn around and sell them. You have done this yourself with the crummy, entry level production boats you've owned. You found nothing about them that endeared you to them so you turned around and got rid of them like tossing into the trashbin a bad pair of shoes. My Coronado is probably the best-kept and best-looking Coronado 27 in the world. She and many others almost as nice are right now plying the waters of the world with owners so satisfied that they continue to voyage and cruise to their hearts content and never plan to sell their vessels because they realize nothing better exists for any price. You're welcome, S.Simon |

Great link. It proves Coronado 27s that are taken care of bring
good money. I'm so excited. Check out the cushions on this one: http://www.boats.com/listing/boat_de... etailed_spec S.Simon "JN" wrote in message ... A www.boats.com search for Coronado 27 lists 6 boats. Low price is 7K, high price is 12K. |
