Everyone's life is a series of stepping stones. Absoutely correct. However, in your case, the stepping stones seem to be placed very close to each other. It's called evolution and progression. Yap all you like about "liking" that Beneteau, but you know it's a cheap boat compared to many. One day you may have better. Perhaps you're already planning for a nicer boat one day. If not, then you're missing what the combination of youth and sailing different boats can offer. Old age is for settling down with "the" boat. Now..tell us, my boy, will you ever have a better boat? I really don't think that I will ever have a better boat. I like speed and performance. However, I also like comfort. Therein lies my problem. Every boat that I see that is more comfortable, is also slower. As you can see, quality doesn't really come into the equation. I suspect that my next boat will be more "comfortable" than my present boat. It will also be bigger. I really hope that it will be faster. I'm not sure that it has been built yet. On the other hand, your next boat won't be difficult to find. It just needs to be better than a 1970's C&C 32. Regards Donal -- |
