Bobby, if you're not a 9-to-6'er, and you're as well off as you claim to be,
then why do you haul your boat? You could become a snowbird and migrate south for the winter. You wouldn't have to go all the way to Florida, there are plenty of places much closer to NYC that you could move your boat for the winter months and drive or fly to the boat on long weekends or holidays. You could stay aboard so escape hotel and dining out for every meal so the costs wouldn't be outrageous. Then you could sail year 'round. If your passion for sailing is as strong as you say then I would think you would envy us who can sail whenever we wish, whether it be June or January. |
