Wally.... please! What the heck would Bob do with a marlin spike or a
shackle key?

That item would get less use than his radar or chromed anchor!

Oh, I dunno, he could hammer the marlin spike into the side of the boat and
loop a bit of wire through the shackle key - then he could hang the display
case for the ornamental whalebone one on it...

BTW..... whale bone is very soft. Almost brittle, porous and won't stand up
to use.

It's decorative. I use a Jag switchblade aboard the boat. I like the
switchblades which open quick and one handed. Wish someone would make one with
the spike!

I have one of those little Plastimo Iris 50 ones - very pocketable, and has
a neck cord. You hod it against your face and look through a little
magnifying window - very clear and stable.

That's a good one.

blade.

Yup. The whale bone one had that, as do most of my sailing knives. I've got 5
or 6 of varying quality.

Suzanne in the dark cabin, smooth silky skin glistening with sweat, sexy sheen
illuminated with a soft green CRT light....

Don't tell me I don't know how to use radar!

I can just see you now on the slips late at night with your "switchspike"
knife... "gimme all your anchors or I'll splice you to the mainbrace"

Give it up Bob.... next thing you'll be telling us you are not only a
Marlinspike Master but can crochet Mylar and weave tape drive sails!

Talk to us when you have mastered tying the single hand Bowline.

All ornamental and not to be used in real life applications...... a blade
reflects it's owner. ;-)

Jokes asside, the switchblade, well made, is a great boat knife if you don't
want a fixed blade diving knife which I also keep handy. A true sailing version
would be a great item, though not legal in NY I'm afraid. I've yet to see a
sailing knife that could be easily open with one hand. The shackle key is even
harder to open!

Well I haven't master it...but I can do it along with the rest of the basic
knots and a few nice grabage knots I'm fond of.
Tell me Mooron...do you EVER win anything?

Bwahahahaha!
