I'm not knocking your sails. It is just that you have to be careful with the corner of those sail. This time you do have a proper shelf. You get no help with the foot in the boom. If you don't have an outhaul car, you should. I don't think much of the stress of the clew just on a single slug. Remember, the attachment of your sail's foot is only at the tack and the leech clews.
