Sail Corner

Neal,

I'm not knocking your sails. It is just that you have to be careful with
the corner of those sail.

This time you do have a proper shelf. You get no help with the foot in
the boom. If you don't have an outhaul car, you should.
I don't think much of the stress of the clew just on a single slug.

Remember, the attachment of your sail's foot is only at the tack and the
leech clews. Make them substantal.

Good luck and happy sailing

Thanks Thom but I don't need no stinkin' car. I have a block and
tackle that pulls the sail back (outhaul) and the sliding slug is plenty
strong enough to hold the clew down and to the boom.
