That reminds me, after nearly 20 years of fiddling about with it,
I've finally decided to learn how to play bass properly and shed

I have done the same except with jazz guitar. The snag is, I only
practice

about 10 minutes a day and I am getting old and I do not have a great
ear. Sadly, jazzguitar is designed to sound effortless but look
fiendishly hard. It is only when you try to play it that it turns out
to be even harder than it looks.
Anyway, my missu ssays I can have a nice shiny jazz guitar if I get
any good. I am aiming to buy the guitar in about 10 years from now.
