(Good thing all the neighbors are gone so nobody can get too "up close and personal") Hope your rig stays OK! Humph, I have a boat on both sides of me... Smart of us not to put the rig on, huh? Yep! We had a hurricane in 1987. We didn't get any warning. In fact, a well known forecaster explicitly said on TV that there would *not* be a hurricane that night. He was replying to someone who had called the station and asked if a hurricane was due. At the time I had a powerboat (my famous 24' Bayliner). As there was no warning, we didn't take any precautions. There was no damage to any boats(AFAIK) in our marina. However, the marina was sheltered AND it had a lock. So a tidal surge was not a real issue. If your marina is sheltered, then you shouldn't have any problem. Without a rig, your main worry should be the pontoons, and the piles. Good luck - and report back to us tomorrow! Are Scotty, Pony and Loco also in the danger area? Regards Donal -- |
