I've never been in a slip during a hurricane before. This is extremely disturbing. If your anchors drag you just end up aground in a nice safe mud berth. The Chesapeake is renowned for good holding. Eh Timmy? If you have doubt as to the quality of the marina pilings and construction leave -lest your boat be hit by those breaking free. Actually, some of these pilings went through Agnes....I kinda like how they flex. Big fatties... If the Swan, next to me, leaves I can run some long lines across a couple slips:^) Seahag Just a thought -but please don't worry unduly. She just represents several years of hard work so remember to insure her to account for the 'improvments' you've made!!!! |
