What percentage of people who voted in the 1973 NI referendum indicated a preference to remain part of the UK? Nationalists urged people to Boycott the referendum. But the result showed 57.5 per cent of the electorate (591,820 pepple) voted to remain part of the UK. http://cain.ulst.ac.uk/issues/politi...on/ref1973.htm yes, i should ignore the trolls, too, but i know how concerned you are about getting the exact body count right. In the 1998 Referendum on an 81 per cent turnout 71 percent of them (676,966 ) voted for the Good Friday Agreement. Indeed the numbers voting for the GFA was 85,146 MORE than those voting for Union in 1973 - 14 percent MORE than ALL yes votes in 1973. 14% increase in the vote for the union, you say. huh. A vote FOR the GFA is not necessarily a vote FOR the union. So, waht was it a vote for Nazi boy? Bertie |
