The Final Blow

Good for you Scotty.... you're an honest hard working schmuck and deserve
to have a good time!

I just repaired the starter on my truck and I got the survey gear loaded...

Have you thought about moving and taking your parents with you? That's
what we had to do.
Have you considered teaching? I see quite a few positions if you can
get a NS teacher’s license.

Job?... I'm in Nova Scotia lad... line ups for a pump jockey position. The
fact I even made an interview on the last submission for work with over 200
applicants speaks volumes. I'm negotiating a contract for site supervisor on
a 10 project/ 6 month term in the Northwest Territories for extremely remote
area work in minus 40c temps for this winter.

You do understand I'm currently caring for my parents and not at liberty to
leave until my brother moves into his house next door to assume the
responsibility I shouldered for the last few years. I can't leave until
November.

I'll send you a bottle when I get back. Look on the bright side - all
you need is to find money. My organisation has banned us from taking
spitituous liquor to sea - and I'm sailing tonight :-(

Ah well, I'm sure that 2 months of abstinence will be good for me. Luck
with the job hunting and I'll catch up when I'm back.

H-m-m-m-m... everyday up here seems to be "Father's Day" and Mother's Day as
well.

.....you have to "train" your kids to row?? Children here are born with that
ability!

If they're both "naturals" why do you need to "train" them? Does their gene
pool limit their abilities to such an extent that only professional
assistance can have them operating on par with the "normal" children?

How did you reach that conclusion Ozzy?

| Umm I've watched the steady improvement in their techniques under the
| guidance of their coaches so it's an easy conclusion to draw.

Ozzy ... I wasn't requesting confirmation of your offspring's inborn
inabilities and shortcomings... although it's fortunate you have the cash to
pay professionals to assist them in overcoming their genetic handicaps... I
was asking why you thought I "could obviously have done with help"??

| I don't have to pay anyone Mooron.
| They both go to very good government schools which have excellent
| sporting programs.
|
| I was asking why you thought I "could obviously have done with help"??
|
| Isn't it obvious?

Actually ...NO! with no training at all I've won several Dory Races. When I
was 13 years old I paddled my 10 foot plastic canoe out 5 miles to sea so I
could snorkel/spearfish a reef. At 15, I bought my first Dory and rowed it
by myself 28 miles to my bay. When my youngest brother was only 8 years old
when he went Scuba Diving with me to 68 feet. When he was 10 years old he
drove my 30 ft Cape Islander back to the dock by himself and tied off. My
friends and I had gotten drunk and passed out in the cabin and he wanted to
get the fish back to shore.

It's a good thing you have money to help your children overcome their
natural inabilities and lack of talent.

Lessons on how to row... Bwahahahahahahahahaaa!!!
