The photo does look a bit like there's one super long line (long enough to waterski with!) but that's optical illusion: there is a spare tether attahced to the rudder-post beam which appears to be a continuation of the tether I'm wearing but isn't. The tether I'm wearing is attached to a strong point about 6inchs abaft an a foot below the turning block in the foreground. Tether lengths are only 1.5m.
