my theory is that the whole "sports" thing is a cover, invented to make the
embracing part more socially acceptable. Scout "Flying Tadpole" Personally, I have a great deal of trouble tolerating any people who embrace goats for sport. |

The photo does look a bit like there's one super long line (long enough to waterski with!) but that's optical illusion: there is a spare tether attahced to the rudder-post beam which appears to be a continuation of the tether I'm wearing but isn't. The tether I'm wearing is attached to a strong point about 6inchs abaft an a foot below the turning block in the foreground. Tether lengths are only 1.5m. The strong point is a 1" ply hull/deck plate anchoring a U-bolt with giant washers and a spreader plate. -- Flying Tadpole ------------------------- Learn what lies below the waves of cyberspace! http://www.internetopera.netfirms.com |

Well, now that I think about it, people covering their goats is
beyond objectionable and into realms pornographic. Scout wrote: my theory is that the whole "sports" thing is a cover, invented to make the embracing part more socially acceptable. I come from a long-lived line, so I'll bring the marshmallows.

I give up. I can't get onto the website either. Perhaps
thousands of lurkers rushed the photo and used up my daily download allowance. I'll try and put it up in webshots now....sheesh...
