Oh, the Humanity!

If you think that, then why do you say it's okay for it to be reposted in
the group anyway?

Because that can be ignored.

And so could your posting the same information yourself.

We can carry on a discussion direct unhampered by
a zillion trolls.

But that would preclude the very advantage of discussing it here. With me, a
sweet, innocent, fresh-faced n00b, and you, a non-expert who's just getting
the hang of things like radar, a private discussion would ultimately limit
what could be learned. Sure, there would be trolling, but there would also
be much to learn from the other folks here. This *is* a sailing newsgroup
after all - why not, at least occasionally, use it for its intended purpose
of discussing the finer points of sailing?

Ummmm, he avoids real discussion with requests to "take it to private
e-mail."

What "real" discussion, Donal? I actually answered Mooron's questions. He never
asked any more.

If you have a look, you'll see I answered Donal's questions. Unlike Mooron, he
actually asked something directly.
