I'd keep the boat I have, buy a new main, a boom tent, a water maker, a
solar panel abd use the extra 240K for the adventure of it all....

That's not the game, Katy. Your Elite's a fine little boat, but hardly ideal
for liveaboard and long range cruising. Spend some of the 250K. What would you
get? Imagine you DON'T have a boat.
