The gentleman's rules of engagement are that the person who has been
challenged sets the place and time. 100% a lie. American, French and british codes of honor all dictate AGREED time of engagement. A gentleman is not rigid, nor does he rush an engagement in hopes that the challenger won't have time to prepare. If you check with Marc, you'll find that I was unable to join him aboard his Freedom 36 because of a funeral on Saturday. Even if I was free, I would have been aboard that boat, rather than on the sound. Sorry. You haven't a leg to stand on. You've been given a fair and reasonable time-frame. I'm not rushing you and will accept alternate sugestions that will be mutually convienient. There's plenty of time left in the season. RB |
