Sadly this is true. We can't have them feeling badly about themselves, so
graduate high school they must.
I see this same behavior in my students, particularly the emotionally
troubled children. They can be quite clever with technology (e.g., a
computer), because no social skills are necessary. However, when forced to
sustain a logical debate, or even friendly discussion, they tend to fall
apart quickly, resorting to such low-brow activities as mom insults, foul
language, threats, and all variations of homophobic name calling.
We can only hope their guidance counselors are astute enough to hear their
cries for help.

Come on, Taddy. A tunicate has a notochord. Trust me. Other than that,
you're pretty spot on. They stay in one place, they're bottom feeders
sucking up the detritus of the ocean and what small amount of spine
they started with has atrophied. They're creatures of pure reflex.
Prod them and they shrink in on themselves, emitting a stream of
processed water.

I point out their reflex reactions to Nav as evidence in support.
Twitch squirt, twitch squirt is all they do. The real pity is that
they can't come to terms with their own inadequacies.

The other thing we use tunicates for, of course, is........... bait.
Here they're dual purpose - both baited and bait.

We wait with bated breath for their next stumbling reply. Will it be a
coherent sentence? Will it comprise more than 3 words? Can they rise
above obscenities to witty and original insult? One doubts it. They
set low standards, and consistently fail to meet them.

I'm honored.

Will it be a
coherent sentence?

Does it matter? Once you're waiting with bated breath I am fulfilled.

Sadly this is true. We can't have them feeling badly about
themselves, so graduate high school they must.
I see this same behavior in my students, particularly the emotionally
troubled children. They can be quite clever with technology (e.g., a
computer), because no social skills are necessary. However, when
forced to sustain a logical debate, or even friendly discussion, they
tend to fall apart quickly, resorting to such low-brow activities as
mom insults, foul language, threats, and all variations of homophobic
name calling. We can only hope their guidance counselors are astute
enough to hear their cries for help.

I'm afraid you've overworked them. So, when you have the time, please read
the eulogy I've posted in their honor.

Sorry, just getting a bit muddled with the cutoff point (it's
been sooooo long since I took a tunicate apart with my flensing
spear). P l e a s e don't tell any of my former students of that
taxonomic slipup, they'll rise from their wheelchairs and wheeze
at me.

Hmmm and I thought Bubbles was the only nutter.

Look, Crappy Master, get a basic zoology text book and a
dictionary, sit down, read and LEARN the difference between
"tunicate" and "fornicate".
