Hey, I met Hitchcock, most of the cast of the TV Mash, George
Peppard, Shirley Jones, and I was Sean Cassidy's camp consellor. I hate to admit it, but I also met Angie Dickinson and Burt, when I lived in So. Cal. Hitch was the most interesting. We shook hands, and he said, "Pleased to meet you," in his typical elongated speech. He was quite senile at the time, but he did manage to remember my name when we met again after the showing of his movie Rear Window. He gave a little speech to introduce it, but they had to escort him off the stage, as he was starting to ramble. "katysails" wrote in message ... . The event was quite serendipitous Katy. A friend had season tickets to the
playhouse but couldn't go that night, and he offered them to me. My wife and I took our seats early. GP came in late, and sat down in the empty seat next to me. It wasn't until he cleared his throat that I realized it was GP! His voice was that distinctive. He was friendly and I did my best to not appear starstruck; I didn't even ask for his autograph, just told him to give our compliments to his daughter for a fine performance. My friend, the owner of the tickets, has never quite forgiven me, lol. Scout "katysails" wrote You got to SIT next to Gregory Peck . . . |

I got to see the Bertie the Bunyip show in Philadelphia when I was a kid. As
it turned out, Bertie was never his friendly or chatty self until some strange man shoved his big hairy arm up Bertie's ass. The kids were traumatized by the scene, but I remember how Bertie's perpetual smile stretched from one long floppy ear to the other. Scout "Horvath" wrote I've seen George Bush Sr. twice. analyse that! Bertie gets trolled, snort!

Nope, but one of my relatives was... on the legal side of

On Mon, 11 Aug 2003 09:09:28 -0400, a team of surgeons from
alt.sailing.asa removed the following benign growth from Scout: Thanks Katy, It's beginning to look like some of the minor bunyippies could bloom into reasonably intelligent posters. It's only the top dog(s) who still can't manage much more than a "snort" response. snort! My theory is that his overuse of "snort" is an onomatopoeic throwback to the root cause of his disorder. snort! BTW - I do appreciate his random choice of Gregory Peck in his attempt to 'humiliate' me. As you know, Scout is a character from the movie in which Peck cemented his place as my favorite actor of all time. Scout snort! snort! snort! "katysails" wrote I would lend Scout my machete, but then it would all be over too quickly... -- PJR :-) mhm34x8 |
