You got it. It's the scb that's the key. Now,
it's up to me to wait and see. You nerds
keep your grubby hands off, please.

Be aware that there might be a retry time-out of several hours - even if the
address isn't valid, it could be some time before you find out. I sent a
test to username aabbzzuuxx at the given domain a few minutes ago, and
haven't had a bounce yet.

No, give credit where credit is due. They are a vast improvement over the
Ghost girls and a firm step in the right direction.

It figures. Since came back
and it is the recognized spelling it stood to reason that
somebody would be using that handle. Since it was
bumped it logically follows that in an outfit as big as
Yahoo that is should be taken unless there is no such
thing as a pure yahoo addy. One can then assume
there are regional qualifiers in the guise of a dot
yada yada yada.

So one must go with the spelling she gave and choose
the right regional code. It's really kinda obvious because
it is known that she lives in Miami but it would serve
to weed out the duller folks.

My guess still has not been bumped back. It's good
I'll bet. When qtpututi comes home from work and
checks her email she's in for a big surprise. I bet
I'm the only person brilliant and persistent enough
to figure it out.

Ooops, it just came back.

"Simple Simon" wrote in message ...
Hmmmm! What did you write?

"jlrogers" wrote in message y.com...
Mine hasn't come back yet, either.

"Simple Simon" wrote in message ...
I tried combinations like that and I think even that one and
they all came back. I concluded that Yahoo mail needed
a regional qualifier if front of it to work and that's what I
ended up with in the addy that stayed sent for a change.

"jlrogers" wrote in message y.com...
I got it!

"Simple Simon" wrote in message ...
I might have just found qtpututi. I got a clue from the
headers of the above post and I used it to send an
e-mail to the addy it indicated and so far, knock on
wood, it hasn't come back so it must be a valid addy
at the very least.

Dear Group,

Belay, you lubbers. I warned you that I would come back if I read too many
disparaging remarks. I have popped in, from time to time, to read your
pathetic threads, which contained little of value to anyone with a level of
intelligence anywhere above a mooron. Your pathetic attempts at revising
history, however, (as perpetuated by "The Internet Opera or The Cedar
Bucket"), demands my return.

In order to show my abundant good will and demonstrate magnanimity in spite
of your "May Mutiny," of 2001, I hereby pardon all but the ringleaders.
They know who they are. They will be flogged unmercilessly, keelhauled, and
then flogged 'round the fleet. Those innocents who fell in with bad company
will be disciplined with love and a rope's end. Let it not be said that
Capt. Neal is without compassion.

It is apparent to even the most casual observer, that the group has
deteriorated into a mad rabble, playing "Popeye & Pluto." You may not
appreciate my future attempts to educate you, but I must set this group
straight. You are childish whiners and losers. You have nothing original or
constructive to post. You simply repeat the same inane drivel month after
month, year after year. Your blather wore me out and left me derelict on the
beach. So, instead of wasting my time here, where the majority consists of
frightened, little wannabes with no understanding of a real sailors life, I
have been sailing. Cruising to be exact. I have logged more miles in the
past two years than all of you wannabes have logged in your entire petty
lives.

Having washed my mind, body, and spirit in the ocean' white foam, I am
renewed and refreshed. Once again will I use my extraordinary, manly powers
to whip this despicable group into shape.

You will heed your Capitan. All sails will be bent on properly and all
lines will be flemished down. Casks will be stored bung up! Ignore your
Capitan at your peril.

Respectfully,
Capt. Neal

SBC? That's a giant phone company

So giant that it is the major phone company in Michigan (one of my sons works for SBC...they pay very well and he has good
benefits. Anyone got a really cute nice daughter in her middle twenties who likes shy but industrious guys?)

Are you crazy? The pay is crappy, unless you have twenty years in.
