Default I'm Back

Go away for a bit and what does a person come back to? CandKelp....I'm assuming this is some new pseudonym Bobspit has picked
up in the last week....Did he get kicked off his ISP again?

Didn't bother to read much of the rest since it seemed to be more related to cars than boats.

We had a great time. Weather was fantastic.Blew like snot out on Lake Michigan yesterday and we touched 7knots several times
with our main and just a scarf of jib out. I got to crew on a Soveral 33 Wednesday night...downwind spinnaker start, which was
very exciting...

People at out new "home" are friendly and helpful...some really beautiful sailboats at MYC...

Only had one oopsy thing happen...the furler snagged rolling back up coming in on a reach....when Mr. Sails turned upwind it
just decided to catch so we had a moment of "WTF?" but a quick yark on the sail freed the line up and there were no more
problems...

Am not glad to be back (not that I don't love and didn't miss all of you) but this week was way too short and Monday is looming
way too soon.

I saw that....rather sad...BS is filling up my blocked file, though, with all his screen names....CandKelp has to be the most
innovative so far, though....

Welcome back Katy,
With you gone I was 'forced' to read some Vonnegut, "Breakfast of
Champions." He's almost cynical (and definitely humorous) enough to be a
regular here.
I'm heading out tomorrow morning, be gone 'til Thursday, then heading out
again on Saturday for a couple of days. My boat is really only big enough
for 2 at a time. My wife says it's a subconscious plan to minimize the risk
of mutiny.

I have mutinied many times when it has just been Mr Sails and myself sailing along....Mutiny is the chicken soup of
sailing....husband's need one every once in a while to remember that their place is alongside, not directing from aloft....

Ever seen an interview with Vonnegut? He's a very strange, strange person...would fit in here really well.

Lose that wind up before it gets you into real trouble. Will
you people never listen to me? I harp and I harp and you
still go on your merry, lazy and ignorant ways with accidents
waiting to happen that could cause severe damage to your
boat or injury to your person. If is isn't a hanked-on sail
it isn't a real sail. If it isn't a hanked-on sail it's a lubberly
attempt at a sail.
