Of course it's easy. You stand up on the bow with the
boat hook and pick up the mooring while your husband does all the helmsmanship required to make it easy for you. Try picking up a mooring single-handed under sail in a crowed mooring field and you will then be a real sailor like me. One of my favorite ways is to sail upwind of the mooring, heave-to and drift sideways down on the mooring, pick it up, make it fast and then as the stem eyes the weather drop the sails. Of course one must have hank-on sails for this procedure to work right so that leaves you out, honey. Back up to a mooring ball? Mooring's a piece of cake... katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A.
