Well YEAH.... I took a wild guess with a chance of probability about as
remote as your boat achieving 8.5 knots up wind.

Honestly, it *did*, once!

It was fantastic. At the end of a cross channel trip, the wind went around
to the NW. The water was flat, and Setanta behaved like a great big
dinghy.

You will *never* experience the thrill of doing 8.5 kts upwind in a crab
crusher. 12 kts with the wind on the beam is NOTHING compared to 8.5
upwind.

We were whooping and cheering like there was no tomorrow!

Even so.... it's nowhere near the speeds reported by Bob on that C&C 32
rocket cruiser. You wouldn't stand a chance against him in a race. Thank
gawd for you he doesn't race eh?

That's true. Bob has one fast boat!!!

Jealousy becomes you MC...... I'm certain that dragging a kelp forest on your folding prop would equate the drag provided by my Dory. The only difference is that I sailed not only out of but into the bay.

Heh..... that's not bad for my boat when I'm towing that Dory.

..... and yes the weather was better than fair.... it was 29 degrees out.
The area behind the Dory out to Outer Gull can have 20 foot rolling breakers
in foul weather.

Oh darn.... you're right. I'll have to upload the rest of the batch. I was trying out their new uploading program that claimed it could do a batch of photos at one time.

Sails were up.... the marina I was at is chock full of power boaters and I wouldn't ever give them the satisfaction of seeing a rag bagger chug out of the bay.... even into a head wind in tight channels.

Prove it! I see no sailing in your pictures...

Labatts bought out Keith's and removed the bitters in the ale. I mean
really! India Pale was brewed for export and the bitters were part of the
ingredients to keep the ale from spoiling on it's passage from Jolly Ole' to
India.

When you've been drinking O'douls, even Bud Light tastes good.
