I'm kinda hoping for a *huge* all-American gunfight between *all* the
private citizen ammo hoarders, one that lasts until the last round is
fired. It'll be loud, flashy, and it'll improve the gene pool. I've only
got four to six boxes each of .22LR, 45ACP, 45LC, and a few boxes of
shotgun shells, so I'm not hoarding.
At what point does hoarding simply become investing?
If you never shoot, you are hoarding but if you believe you will shoot
the ammo eventually it is just an investment.
I feel a whole lot better about going to the range and shooting 15
cent shots than those guys who are shooting at 75 cents a round and
not sure if they will have any next week.
Greg that's the way I look at it. I really don't go shooting ofr the sake of burning up brass, but several years ago (about 25), I bought govt. surplus .223 at .14c. a round in bulk. I thought it was worth copping a couple thousand count.
"Dirty" Chinese 7.62x39 surplus? 1500 rd. per crate at .07c. a shot. I figured that was worth 3 crates.
..44 mag, .357, .22- same deals and likewise, same types of quantities.
