Working as a diplomat in an unsettled country has always been a risky
business. Shootings, bombings, whatever. Is it a scandal whenever this
happens, or just when a black dude is POTUS? In 1983, the U.S. Embassy
in Beirut was bombed and 63 were killed. I don't recall that incident
being called a scandal. Oh, wait, a white dude was POTUS.

How many ambassadors were killed ?

Whether or not it is a scandal depends upon the rank of those killed?
