Nice, probably a bit on the small side for the open ocean however.
We're seeing mostly 50 to 60 footers in the Out Islands. Some of
them tow a 30 to 35 ft center console behind them for day fishing in
good weather.

The Egg was a nice boat but they had redesigned it to lighten it up
..... mainly to get more speed. Speed was what it was all about then
for chartering but the lightened design makes a big difference in
heavier seas, something I noticed right away. I have a friend with an
old, heavy Hatteras of about the same size with DD 671s. I could run
circles around him until the seas started getting snotty. Then he had
the advantage. But for occasional fishing trips in decent weather it
was good. Fast and highly maneuverable at the dock. It was like a
sports car compared to the Navigator. But for overall comfort and
performance (for it's size) in heavier seas, the Navigator was
outstanding. It was built like a tank.
