Gee, by the looks of it, I just assumed you were a lot further along than

that. I really liked working on cars of that era, because I grew up with

them! What's wrong with the C4?

It really needs an OD tranny. With the 3.50 rear end, cruising at 70mph on the highway it's spinning the motor more than I'd like. Right now, it'll pass about anything but a gas station.

It's alot of work of course, but it's fun

to have something to tinker with that you don't have to drive! I've got

a '66 VW bug that I'm doing. Well, it's in my garage anyway!!!

Well get of the internet and get to work on it! I'm just taking a break after sanding and priming. PC in the shop, ya know...

Do all of your numbers match?

Yeah, it was bought new in Dec. '69 by a man in Greenville, SC. I'm the second registered owner. I turned in the original title when I registered it (that was tough to do!). I found the original build sheet under the carpet, still in decent condition. It has 105k miles on it.

The VW was my grandfather's he bought it
new. I do most of the work after it gets cold and I don't want to be
outside. I'm trying to find some decent floor pans for it now.

Cool to have something from your family.
