I am toying with a FRAM "Sure Drain".

just a FYI thought on this, I have a brass quick drain connector mechanism on
the oil pan on my planes. I put new ones in every few years. These have
allegedly been known to vibrate the guts out of them in flight allowing the oil
to run out. Just something to remember when having a mechanical oil
plug.....I classify this under the "Things that make you go hmmmm"
category....tally ho....FWIW

Our Turbocraft came with a 109 hp Graymarine flathead six. There was
just enough room to get the plug out, but we used a brass piston pump
to remove the oil through the dipstick hole. It doubled as a small
capacity bilge pump with a supplied larger hose. My Beechcraft with
the radial motor had a 6 1/2 gal oil tank with a pipe leading to a
valve behind a metal cummerbund that required turning a fastener 1/4
turn. You park over an underground tank.
