well that's the problem, isn't it? private health care is substandard.
with socialized medicine, we'd be able to pick our doctors.
It does absolutely ZERO to the provider networks or even how the
insurance companies do business. It only guarantees them more business
... Sweet if you are an insurance company, a medical conglomerate or a
drug company. They all get richer and our prices WILL go up..

Hey, you can pick your family doctors in our system.
Trouble is finding one that isn't booked well into 2011 and accepting
patients. Your next problem is finding one that speaks english. But
lets say you lived here all your life and have one. Then the tummy
hurts, call them up and they can see you in 4 weeks. So you wait 10
hours in emergency to find out you have appencitis.
And if hospitalized, as a follow up they send you too a specialist. An
abusive one, but available. They just **** you off, and no confidence
in letting them take a knife to you, you see someone else on your own
dime as it isn't "approved".
Pretty typical around here.
