You reckon those folks would let me tie up my Key West at no charge?
We' ve a new establishment here called 'National Harbor'. Place has a
nice dock, so we stopped for a planned cup of coffee. A young guy
comes running out of a shack and asks what we want. I tell him we want
to walk up and get some coffee. He says, "That'll be $10 an hour."

We left. Now I know why there's hardly ever anyone tied up at the
docks.

You can tie up for free if you're having dinner at the restaurant next
door (Parrot Key Caribbean Grill). We have quite a few places like
that.

The town of Key West is a different matter however since it is a big
tourist town and dockspace is at a premium. $10/day to park a dinghy
is par for the course down there, and more like $250/day for our big
boat.

Well, I guess I won't be boating to Key West for the free parking. Not if I have to pay.
