Didn't the steel used in the new ship sorta have a similar experience
already?


Have you figured out why Gene would make such a wish for a ship?


His statement was a bit obtuse, but the ships he mentioned were all
damaged at Pearl Harbor, but were repaired and went on to fight in
WWII. *Perhaps he's just hoping this ship will go on to fight in the
war on terror?

Poorly worded on my part. The steel it was made from came back from
an attack and lives to fight back, which is the opportunity the
mentioned ships received.

If that's not it, maybe Gene will clarify.
