Anyone tried this for emergency repairs?
Gordon
Why?
I've various sizes of wire and a few different connecting methods
including solder when a connection goes bad. Mid-season, our GPS
connector went bad and I was able to wire in a new one in under a half
hour while we were under way. I keep such spares in my junk box for
just that reason.
Truth be told, I can't think of an "emergency" repair that wireglue
would fix adequately. Anything I deem "emergency" if it doesn't work
requires a high-power connection that only "snip and reconnect" would
satisfy. (Losing our GPS was an inconvenience, not an emergency.)
Maybe I'm a bit odd, but if I have to fix something, even in a hurry, I
want to fix it well enough to not have to worry about it later. Once
fixed, it's fixed.
