Not good. The other posts were spot on as to possible answers. Don't run
it this way just to ruin it. Could also have a cracked ring, or cracked
head letting the pressure (and fuel spray) inside the cylinder blow into
the head past a leaky valve seat, etc. It needs to be torn down by
competent mechanic and repaired.

Very unusual for a Yanmar to break....great little engines.
