I just had a flashback to some television series of years ago that
featured cops or some agency roaring around on airboats.
Can't remember the name of the show.

Ahhh, the mind is the 2nd thing to go. ?

I think you are thinking about Flipper. ?The dad was a Park Ranger.

That was one also. ?No, the one I am thinking about wasn't "Flipper".

Wow, listen to how terrible "The Everglades" theme song was.

The Everglades theme song starts at the 1 min. mark.

maybe that's a contributing reason it only lasted a season.

Sometimes I'm grateful my 4 years in the Navy kept me safe from this
stuff. But I admit I liked TV enough, and cared about money so little
I bought a little portable TV from Sears in '66 or so.
Cost $150 as I recall. Ran about 100' of antenna wire up an open
hatch to get reception in Norfolk. Had the ends twisted onto a coat
hanger, which was hooked onto the hatch wheel as I remember.
We'd gather around my bunk and watch it. "Man From U.N.C.L.E."
and "The Wild West" were popular.
After a few days a sneaky and jealous deck ape cut the antenna wire
while about 8 of us were watching a show.
Took it home a few days later on leave and I think one of my sisters
used it a few hours and it stopped working. When I got out I paid
$50 to get it fixed and it lasted only a few days, so I tossed it.
Man, I could figure out ways to waste money.
