One more thing is to explain why you and I use a link instead of an email
address in the signature.
It is not only to promote our sites but to limit spam.
Robots search the Usenet for email addresses and use them for spam.
At our web site, we use, as much as possible, hidden emaill adresses with a
javascript or PHP.

the top just a little bit. Nobody in any of the posts I read said, "don't
post links to websites." In fact I have seen hundreds of links to
websites
both commercial and non commercial posted here with nobody ever commenting
that it was inappropriate. In general in usenet it is inappropriate to
make
post for the sole purpose of advertising a commercial website, but usenet
still exists because of the internet. It would be silly to ban posting
URLs. LOL!

I'm not defending Jacques. As anybody who remembers can tell you my first
public comments about him were less than stellar, but he is an
accomplished
builder and he has more than a little share of pride in his abilities.
