The only docs educated "at public expense" AFAIK is in the military,
and they fulfill a very rigorous set of obligations to pay it back.

Most MDs I am aware of enter practice with anywhere from $150K to
$500K of debt (very very very few with less, many with more).... often
to the gov't... also often to medical education foundations.

If you got a serious hate-on against doctors, that's a very simple
problem to solve. Don't ever go to one.
