Glad to hear all went well! How did your daughter's team do? Your lobster

Actually, she did quite well. She played on the USA Volleyball
National Indoor High Performance league and out of something like 43
teams, hers finished in 5th place. That was competing against teams
from NZ, a couple teams from Canada, as well as puerto Rico, the
Domminican Republic, and Venezuala.

She has ben invited to return next year and to compete again on the
Int'l level. I'm pretty proud of her and seeing she will be 17 next
month.

What was actually the best time of the trip was seeing her last game
was over about 2:00 pm, she wanted to go to the beach witch was only
about a block away from our motel. she was picking up sea shells like
she was 12 and having a blast, but I noticed she kept looking over her
shoulder... Beach Vollyball! 2 to 4 person teams. I knew what she
was thinking, and told her that if she just asked, she could probably
get in a game. she was shy about it,but went anyhow, and the next thing
I knew she was playing with the best of them. Having a blast, while I
was drowning myself in salty waves trying to find shells.

After a couple hrs, and more shells than I could carry, It was getting
dark, so I walked over to her and said it was time to head in. She
was disapointed to quit, because she was having too much fun playing
volleyball, without having the pressures of competition.

Anyhow. So much for volleyball shells and salt drownings.

The idea of a leatherman is good John, you would have to stow it in
the luggage, and probably still have your baggage searched. But yes,
it would do wonders on shell fish!

Sounds like you had a great time! I guess you missed the storms over
there. Let me know the next time you're down this way.
