I never have, hopefully never will.
I've been in dozens of situations where, If I lived in the US and was
armed, I would have been perfectly justified in shooting my attacker.
I was thankfully not armed and as such took a beating once or twice
but didn't take a life.
On other occassions I was armed, but my training in the use of that
arm (draw your weapon only when you intend to shoot someone dead)
allowed me to think and persue other means.

Gun owners in the US do not have that training....
