Metal grab rails are distinctly the provence of "stink pot".

Some of us like to sand and varnish. Others like to sail.

I spend all of about an hour every other year on maintenance of
exterior teak on
my boat. The rest of the time I enjoy looking at it, rather than harsh
motorboat
hardware. I don't lose even a minute of sailing time.

You waste a LOT more time hanking on your jib than I do on teak
maintenance.

That last is a most revealing statement. If you really think hanking on
a jib is wasting time then you're missing the whole point of sailing.
Sailing is about taking the time to do it right and not about getting
someplace quickly by using shortcuts.
