When American Citizens with dual citizenship pledges allegiance

Well, since the text of the pledge uses the words "of the United States
of America" then I would assume they are pledging to the flag of the
United States of America.

I don't know of any other country that has such a pledge.

Would second that opinion. Some countries have patriotic songs with
lyrics very similar to a pledge or oath. As this would otherwise be
off topic, I add that during our yachting club Midsummer/Flag Day
celebration we sing such song after the flag has been hoisted If
interested, I could try to google an english translation ..
