Yes it is inevitable that the holding power of a single V8 cylinder block is
limited

Happens here a bit.
Trouble is people don't secure that furler properly..they just leave
it in the cleat.
A big blow come thru, headsail unfurls and pretty soon the boat just
sails off with her mooring.
