I would suggest you review the naturally occuring minerals that dissolve
in
to the lake. You will see that they are far, far greater than any target
practice by the Coast Guard. Furthermore, Canada should pay for those
minerals deposited by the Coast Guard. Lead, cadmium, bismuth, uranium
are
all valuable metals.

That's a pretty poor argument, crap is already there so what's a bit
more? How much DU is "naturally occuring"? How about cuprous oxide?
(aside from the stuff that I put there using a product that's banned in
the US for use as an anti fouling paint)


Think of all the tires that wear out on the road. Shouldn't there be big
mounds of rubber on the sides of the road? There isn't is there? Why?
Because bacteria eat the rubber worn off of tires on the road. There must be
a lot of those bacteria because trillions of them are run over by cars
everyday. How did these bacteria exist before cars?

The Great Lakes are famous for iron and copper deposits in their vicinity.
Man has mined large amounts of these deposits. Now, a small token effort is
underway to return these minerals to where they came from and you gripe!
What about those miniscule token efforts to fight Global Warming or the
Ozone Hole (now larger than ever years after claiming the Montreal Protocol
fixed it!) (Note that Montreal is in Canada - why are Canadians so
associated with failure?).

Decaying uranium gives off radon and eventually turns into lead. Canada has
minimum radon standards of 24 pc/L, the US of 4 pc/L. Are you going to hide
in your basement from these Coast Guard projectiles?
