So then my boat must be faster than a J29, right?

right! But Only if it can leave the J29 behind

Wrong, Joe. A 35s5 is slower than a J29. And a J29 would clobber your
boat even worse then my 35s5.

Wrong, put Redcloud and a J29 and a 35s5 in the middle of the Gulf of
mexico, toss in 28 kt winds and 12 ft seas. I would cruise at 9 kts
steady without engine and both the J & 35s5 would be in survival mode.
You would be douched more than a lipton tea bag on a plantation porch.
You be about as fast and graceful as a grey hound on ice.

It's starting to seem unlikely you are any kind of captain, or at least
you know very little of the basics regarding sailboats.

USMM masters # 607529....look it up, thats with over 11 yrs underway
bubbles. 7 as Captain & Master. then add 10 yrs living on my own vessel
RedCloud.

Redcloud could beat John Cairn's Catalina 28 in most conditions...I
think! But that's about it.

Your boat is slower than RedCloud Rob. No if's, ands, or but's about
it.
De Vries builds the sleekest fastest steel hulls on earth. Very high
quaility.

Oh and BTW my Helm is much nicer than yours, it's hand made by one of
the finest craftsman on earth. Even has a lucky charm inside her.

And I bet the coin's under both my mast's are worth more than the coins
under your SINGLE mast.(if you have one)....... that is smaller than my
mizzen BTW.
