To many ears, including mine, there is no sound in the world to match the
rumble of multiple large radials coupled to 12 - 16 ft propellers. It
stirs the soul.



When I was first in the air force, the area behind out shops contained some
Radials on stands. No one ever seemed to work on them, but were probably
just spares. There were a few C-124's still around.
