Joe, I found photographs in my office of those barrels you speak of
(Wooden,by the way) being loaded on Square Rigged Clipper Ships for
England. That was Oil for Drakes first oil well ever.
The Atlantic Refining Co was a out-growth of the Schukyull Barrelling
Co.
They still had the Batch Stills where they would drive the Lamp Oil off
the heavy ends before shipping. Out of Service of course. That was the
Fore-runner of the Refinery. They progress to Paraffin and finally full
distillation and fractionation.
I loved that old Refinery. It was like working in a Museum.
